More information
- After Amy's passing, the Upper Perk Stix Club created a scholarship/award to be given out every year at the Blue & Gold Banquet in her memory. The Amy Zdrojesky player award goes to a field hockey/lacrosse player who exhibits some of the qualities Amy had during her time as a player and coach at Upper Perk. The recipient is a team player who embodies her desire to help those around her succeed, her never-give-up attitude, her inclusivity and caring for others, and her love of the game.
- Amy passed away in December 2022, after being given initially 6-month-to-live diagnosis. She fought a 6-year battle with sporadic kidney cancer. Much like the athlete that she was, she never gave up and always looked for a better way to fight through the pain and move forward. Amy Z always had a smile on her face until the very end, never letting the disease get in her way.
