James Young graduated from Upper Perkiomen High School in 1966.  He earned varsity letters in Cross Country, Basketball and Track and Field.  He was an instrumental member of Upper Perk’s Bux-Mont Championship Basketball team in 1965.  Jim graduated from Montgomery Country Community College and West Chester University and received a master’s degree in counseling in 1977.  He has served as a PIAA Basketball Official for many years and coached Wrestling, Basketball, Track and Field, Soccer, Baseball and Cross Country at the Junior High and High School levels.  He worked as a Guidance Counselor in the Spring Ford School District.  Jim is married to Diana Leister and has a son Michael and a daughter Michelle.
