1980 Todd Swenk
Todd Swenk - 1980
Todd Swenk is a 1980 graduate at Upper Perkiomen High School. He played football, baseball and basketball. As a Junior Todd played on the '78-'79 district championship runner-up in basketball, which advanced to the inter district tournament (states). In the spring of that year he played on the 1979 Buxmont baseball championship team coached by 1st year Coach Ernie Quantrani, that advanced to the district semifinal's. In his Senior year, Todd caught the touchdown pass in Upper Perk's Thanksgiving day game against Souderton in a 7-0 victory for Coach Bill Keeny's final game. In basketball that season the team took home a 2nd place Buxmont League trophy. Following that season he played for the Buxmont All Stars against the Chesmont All Stars as well as playing in the Montgomery County Basketball and Football All Star games. His league honors include; 2nd team in football, 2nd team and honorable mention in basketball and honorable mention in baseball.
Following graduation, Todd continued playing in various Upper Perk adult leagues, Flag Football and basketball. In baseball he played for the Upper Perk Chiefs for 16 years playing on 3 championship teams while throwing two no-hitters against Boyertown and Quakertown. He was inducted into the Tri-County Hall of Fame in 2000.
Currently, Todd coaches basketball at Upper Perk which he has done for 14 years first at the JV level and now at 8th grade. Previously he coached 7th, 8th and JV levels in baseball at Upper Perk for 10 years.
A lifelong resident Todd has been employed by Macoby Run Golf Course for the past 36 years and is married to his wife of many years Jo and they have two children, Michaela and Macauley.
