1985 Thomas Cichocki

Thomas Cichocki - Class of 1985

Tom graduated from Upper Perkiomen High School in 1985 where he participated in football, basketball and baseball. He was a 3 year letterman in football, a 3 year letterman in basketball and a 3 year letterman in baseball. He earned the following awards: All Bux-Mont in Football in 1984 and All State Honorable Mention, All Bux-Mont in Basketball in 1984 & 1985 and in Baseball in 1984 & 1985. He received the following awards in 1985: Levy Football Award, VFW Post 5954 Award, Co-MVP of the basketball team, MVP of the baseball team and Scholar-Athlete Award.
After high school, Tom attended the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business, graduating in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics. While at the University of Pennsylvania, he was a four year letterman on the baseball team and participated on the football team his freshman and sophomore years. Tom’s accomplishments at Penn included being elected to the Penn Friars Senior Society in the spring of 1988. The 1988 and 1989 baseball teams won the EIBL conference and participated in the NCAA division |regional tournament in each of those years. The 1989 team was ranked nationally in the top 25 and had an 18 game winning streak. Those teams recently were inducted into the Penn Baseball Hall of Fame.
 In 2004, after many years of participating in the Blue Mountain Baseball League, Tom was inducted into the BMBL Hall of Fame.

Tom was the consummate student-athlete during his years at Upper Perkiomen High School. He excelled in the classroom, and was universally respected by teammates, opponents, coaches and teachers. He continued that at a prestigious Ivy League School and, even with his busy professional life and personal life as a devoted husband to wife Gayle, and father to Megan, Brooke and Eric, remains a staunch supporter of the Upper Perkiomen Athletic programs. Tom is a true son of the Upper Perkiomen Valley and is very appreciative of his educational experiences at Upper Perk.
