2010 Timothy Mayza

Timothy Mayza - Class of 2010

 Tim Mayza is a 2010 graduate of Upper Perkiomen. Tim went to Millersville where he majored in education. Tim was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays after his junior year at Millersville and is currently pitching for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Blue Jays’ AA team.
Tim played three sports in high school, soccer, basketball, and baseball, picking up eight varsity letters. He excelled in all his sports, earning team MVP in basketball and baseball and, in his senior year, Tim was named the Male Outstanding Athlete. Tim also made the All-Academic Team.
In baseball, his accomplishments included a no-hitter in 2008, All PAC-10 First Team Pitcher in 2010, and the Mercury’s All-Area First Team Pitcher in 2010.
In 2009, Tim pitched in the PA American Legion East-West Showcase,a select team of the very best American Legion players from across the Commonwealth..
At Millersville, Tim helped pitched the Marauders into the 2011 Division Il College World Series and in 2012, he was ranked as the sixth best pitching prospect in Division II.
Tim received many other individual honors during his career at Millersville including being named a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar Athlete, and selection as a First Team All-Atlantic Region Pitcher. He was a 2013 Tino Martinez Award Semifinalist. The Award goes to the Outstanding Collegiate Player in Division Il. Some of his career stats place him in the top ten of several Millersville career categories, even though he only pitched there for three years.
