2007 Christopher Sheetz

Christopher Sheetz - Class of 2007

Chris graduated from Upper Perkiomen High School in 2007 where he participated in wrestling as a four year varsity letter winner. Chris served as a Co-Captain of the 2007 Upper Perk wrestling team. Chris was an integral part of the 2006 PIAA State Championship team propelling Upper Perk into the state finals with his memorable last second flying headlock on his Nazareth opponent in the semi-final match. Individually, Chris had an outstanding wrestling career at Upper Perkiomen High School. Chris finished his high school wrestling career with a 189 career victories against 23 defeats. Of his 189 wins, 104 of those victories were by pin. Chris was a PIAA State Champion in 2005 as a sophomore and four time PIAA State medalist. He was a two time Southeast Region Champion, a two time District One North Champion and four time Section Il Champion. In addition to his PIAA accomplishments Chris was also a Ironman Invitational Champion, Beast of the East runner-up and medalist at the Reno Tournament of Champions. Chris was a three time Co-MVP recipient for wrestling during his sophomore, junior and senior season. Chris was the recipient of the Outstanding Athlete Award at the 2007 Blue & Gold Banquet. 

Chris continued his education and wrestling career at Delaware Valley College and Kutztown University where he compiled over 100 victories and was a two time Division III All-American. Chris graduated from Kutztown University in 2012 with a BS in Criminal Justice.

 The Upper Perkiomen School District is very proud of Chris’s athletic and academic accomplishments and his continued involvement in our community. It is with great pride that we induct Christopher Sheetz into the Upper Perkiomen High school Athletic Wall of Fame.
