2004 Darren Kern

Darren Kern - Class of 2004

Darren graduated from Upper Perkiomen High School in 2004 where he participated in wrestling as a four year varsity letter winner. Darren served as a Co-Captain of the 2003 & 2004 Upper Perk wrestling team which compiled an amazing 107 team victories during his four years of wrestling. Darren had an outstanding wrestling career at Upper Perkiomen High School finishing his high school wrestling career with a 154 career victories against 26 defeats. Darren was a PIAA State Runner-Up in 2004 and a two time PIAA State medalist. He was a two time Southeast Region Champion, a three time District One North Champion and three time Section Il Champion. Darren was the MVP of the wrestling team in 2003 & 2004.

Darren continued his education and wrestling career at Bloomsburg University where he was an NCAA qualifier in 2007. Darren graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2009 with a BS in Computer Forensics.
Upon graduation, Darren enlisted in the United States Navy where he is served an eight year tour of duty serving as a member of the prestigious “SWICK” or Special Weapons Combatant Crewmen Unit.

The Upper  Perkiomen School District is very proud of Darren’s athletic and academic accomplishments along with his dedication to serve his country in the United States Navy. It is with great honor and pride that we induct Darren Kern into the Upper Perkiomen High School Athletic Wall of Fame.
