2000 Rebecca Frank

Rebecca Frank - Class of 2000

Rebecca is a 2000 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School. During high school Rebecca excelled both in the classroom and on the athletic field. She was a member of the National Honor Society from 1998-2000, and was recognized for being in the top 10%, 15% and 20% of her class in 1998, 1999 and 2000. She received 3 varsity letters for her participation in softball, 2 varsity letters for field hockey and 1 varsity letter for basketball.


In 1998 she was selected to the PAC-10 All Conference 2nd team for field hockey. In 1999 as co-captain of the field hockey team, Rebecca helped boost her team to a PAC-10 Championship. That same season the Upper Perkiomen field hockey team made its first ever appearance in the Pennsylvania State Playoffs. In 1999 Rebecca was named to the PAC-10 All Conference Field Hockey 1st team. She was also named to the Pennsylvania All State Academic Team, and selected as a 2nd team Pennsylvania All State field hockey member. That same year Rebecca was named the PAC-10's Citizen Athlete and an Honorable Mention PAC-10 All Conference Softball selection.


Upon graduating high school Rebecca attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania on a field hockey scholarship. Here she was a 4 year starter for the varsity field hockey team, and a member of the 2000 squad who had the school’s first ever Division II National playoff appearance and the first ever #1 national ranking. In 2003, as co-captain of the IUP field hockey team,  Rebecca was named as first team PSAC All Conference Field Hockey selection, and was also selected as a National North/South All-Star Team Member. In 2003 Rebecca finished the field hockey season ranked #8 in the nation (Division II ) for most assists on the season. After 4 years as a member of the IUP field hockey team, Rebecca returned for the 2004 season as the assistant field hockey coach. That year the IUP field hockey team made their second ever Division II National Playoff appearance. In 2005 Rebecca graduated from IUP with a dual major in Biology and Psychology and a minor in Chemistry. Since that time she has gone on to receive her Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from Widener University, and has been working as a Pediatric Physical Therapist since 2008: Rebecca has remained involved in athletics by coaching camps and club teams during the summers, as well as continuing to play on a co-ed club team in Miami, Florida. Rebecca has also remained dedicated to learning and education, as she has begun teaching in the Physical Therapy Department at the University of Miami, and will return to school next fall to pursue a second doctoral degree.
