David Pierce, Jr. - Class of 1995

Dave graduated from Upper Perkiomen High School in 1995 where he participated in baseball and basketball. He earned the following awards: U.S. Marines Outstanding Athlete; Champion Award for basketball; he was a three time All-PAC-10 selection for baseball; a two-time Carpenter Cup Member; senior year baseball MVP, and member of the National Honor Society. The highlight of Dave’s high school career occurred in 1995 when he threw a no-hitter against Pottstown.
After high school, Dave attended Ursinus College and graduated in 2000 with a BA in history with a secondary education teaching certificate. While at Ursinus, he participated in baseball where he was a member of two Centennial Conference Champions and twice played in the NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament. Dave’s accomplishments at Ursinus include being named to the All-Centennial Conference three times, being selected to the All Mid-Atlantic Region Team,being elected team captain during both his junior and senior years, and establishing single season records for both home runs and RBIs. Dave also served on the college’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
