1993 Robert Saeger, Jr.

Robert Saeger, Jr. - Class of 1993

Bobby graduated from Upper Perkiomen High School in 1993 where he participated in baseball and football. He was a four-year letterman in baseball and a two-year letterman in football. He earned the following awards as a student at Upper Perkiomen: U. S. Marine Outstanding Athlete; Brown Printing Scholarship; earned All PAC-10 twice for baseball; senior captain of 1993 baseball team. Bobby also played on the summer Perkiomen Legion baseball team for three years during which time he garnered All Bux-Mont honors for two years and participated in the 1991 Bux-Mont Legion All-Star game.
After high school, Bobby attended West Chester University, graduating in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. While at West Chester University, he was a four-year starter on the baseball team where he was named captain during his junior or senior years. Bobby’s accomplishments at West Chester included being named Diamond Conference Player of the Week and being nominated as a pre-season All-American to Watch by Collegiate Baseball.
After graduating from college, Bobby returned to the Upper Perkiomen Valley where he managed the Upper Perk Braves Junior Legion baseball team from 1999 to 2004. During his tenure as head coach, Bobby coached the Braves to three regular season titles and one league title. Bobby led his 2002 team to an appearance in the American Legion Eastern Regional State playoffs. In 2004, Bobby was named Kiwanian of the Year.
